SyNRG (Systems Networking Research Group)
My specialty is in building systems that employ machine learning algorithms at its core. A large part of the work involves mining large-scale data (sensor, web, location, usage, computer vision, other spatial temporal data), refining machine learning algorithms and enabling new services.
I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to work for a range of top companies/research labs in the industry including Microsoft Research (Redmond), AT&T Labs, Samsung Research America and Bell Labs. Most of the work resulted in workable research prototype systems, patents and publications.
Welcome to my website. I joined Google recently, working on Geo (Google maps) data curation. Before Google, I served as Staff Researcher at Samsung Research America. I earned my PhD from Duke University, working with Prof. Romit Roy Choudhury.
